I'm not quite sure where this ought to be but...
« on: April 22, 2008, 07:52:02 AM »
...being a brand-new member of the forum and indeed the BKP Army I though I'd introduce myself.

My name is Mark and I play lead guitar in a heavy (musically and physically!) band called Full Blown Chaos from New York City. I very recently became an official BKP player (so recently, I haven't received my first set yet but please Tim, take all the time you need!) and am quite proud to be able to say so.

It looks as though the people here on the BKP forum are very cool customers and I'm very excited about the prospect of spending endless hours in front of the computer talking shop with you lot! For the past few nights I've greatly enjoyed observing the seemingly endless flow of knowledge, ability, and camaraderie here on the forum.

If you're interested in hearing my band, there is a fairly good amount of songs available for inspection on our MySpace page. The address is http://www.myspace.com/fullblownchaos and by all means feel free to add us as friends! Unfortunately none of the music on our page or records has been created with the help of Bare Knuckle Pickups but I promise you that will change on our next record which we will be recording early on next year.

Any case, I just wanted to say hello! Thank you to Tim and all of you BKP Users out there for having me... now what's all this I hear about someone putting the kettle on? We drink tea here too, you know.  I take mine with raw sugar, a splash of proper vanilla, and a drop or twelve of milk for texture.  :D

This seems as good a place as any I'd say.

Nice to meet you (metaphorically, of course).

On those clips I thought that the singer was mixed ridiculously low in the song until I remembered I have dodgy headphones and so when I squeezed the stress relief bit on the jack I got stereo and it suddenly sounded much better.

I'm sure the other members will be here to talk to you in a short while.
I too use chicken as a measurement.

Cheers and thanks! I have but a few questions:
-How many teaspoons is 5 grams?
-Who are Tate and Lyle?
-What's 200 micro litERs in Gallons?

Also I should mention that in New York, pure tap water is a truly rare thing and if we're going by taste, I'll take none. Thankfully, I actually live on the beautiful North Shore of Long Island and our water is made from pressed angels.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Hi and thanks! I'm glad that we could help get your day started

I believe Tim said he was winding me up a set of Nailbombs (as they are the only Bare Knuckle's I've played so far and are in fact the reason why I've started selling off 15 years worth of DiMarzio pickups and why I contacted BKP in the first place) and an Irish Tour single for my main stage guitar which is an H-S-H Ibanez RG. Neck through body, maple neck, mahogany wings, locking trem, etc.

Hi Mark. Welcome to the forum. Liked your band & riffage (unfortunately those vocals are not my cup of tea). Talking of tea - can't stand the stuff. Coffee, white with one sugar, please. I'm not too fussy, however it comes really.

Hi Mark,

You'll find the people here are friendly, helpful, and easy-going. It's a great place to get info and advice about pretty much all things guitar (with the speciality being Bare Knuckles of course. :) )

Liked the band music- great stuff. Although I must admit, at first glance I thought it was 'Full Brown Chaos', which was a little unsettling.

Make sure you give us an update about how you get on with the BKs!

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum!

I can't listen to your work yet as I'm at work.

I hope you enjoy the Nailbomb, I have a set in my LP and love them, word of caution (you may have seen this on anohter thread) BK's take a bit of dialling in, i had to play with my 'bombs for a while before I got them set how I like them, but once I got them dialled in... heaven.

I take my tea strong, 2 sugars, dash of milk.

I've been playing (badly) for about a year so don't listen to anythng I say. I'm married to prozacbear and it's her fault I'm addicted to playing.

Welcome.

Next time you will be in the city, please drop me a PM.  I bet we know some of the same people/bands from the island, as well.

-5 grams is about one teaspoon
-Tate and Lyle are a company that make the normal granulated cane sugar that you buy in supermarkets in the UK (Mr Tate has some art galleries named after him in London, (not that that has anything to do with it))
-200 micro litres is 0.000 052 834 410 472 gallons (US liquid)

Now I need a lie down

I will look at your clips when I get home from work

Hey man, welcome! You're the guitarist for Full Blown Chaos? You didn't happen to open for Sepultura in 2003 did you? I believe the name of the band was Full Blown Chaos. The lead singer was a big guy, kind of reminded me of Crowbar watching him up there!!
Nontheless, if that was you then you guys rocked out. If not, sorry for the confusion. Welcome to the forum.

Does he keep calling them ugly and kicking them in the balls?

Tea, milk, no sugar.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.
