Pickups for my UV777BK (Melodeath)

Hi everyone this is my first post.

I'v been searching the forum for days now ( sad i know  8)  ) and cant find anything to help me come to a conclusion.
I'm playing an Ibanez UV777BK (basswood body) through a laney GH100L and want to know which pickup would suit
me best for some really heavy death metal/melodeath riffage
 (crunchy palm muting and clear, warm leads) and maybe some clean jazzy stuff.
The Blazes in at the moment are great but dont quite have enough punch in them for what i'm wanting.

Warpig does crushing and I hear it's good for jazz so maybe ceramic bridge and alnico neck?

at least on my 6 stringed axes Charvel and ESp, the nailbomb does the swedish death metal thing with easy
i would recommend it for yah to put in the bridge

Hey there mate,

Any out of the Painkiller, Nailbomb or Miracle Man would be great for the melodeath sound. The Painkiller being the middiest and probably the tightest, the Nailbomb being the most grindy and organic, and the Miracle Man having a more scooped feel. All three are very clear indeed.

The Nailbomb neck is lovely, quite a vintagey, PAF-y sound, but very clear even with loads of gain.
The Painkiller neck is incredible, fat and really fluid. It's the only ceramic neck pickup Tim does, and has none of the harshness or sterility you often find with ceramic magnets.

Before you decide, I'd really advise contacting Tim, either by phone or email, to make sure you're getting the best pickup for your needs. He is incredibly helpful and always give spot-on recommendations.

a CWP bridge and cold sweat neck. But now i'm not sure whether
to be even more confused or just
go with Tim because he knows his stuff  :lol:

I have a CWP Bridge and CS Neck, if you want I can make clips.
I play a lot of Metal and even some Classical. Both are good at cleans, the Cold Sweat is the best for cleans as said, but I prefer using the Warpig. However both are very versatile.

If you gave Tim plenty of detail, I would say just go with what he recommended. He knows his pickups like noone else does. I'm sure he'd answer any worries you may have if you emailed him again.

Clips would be muchly appreciated. Anything you want
would be great. Especially the cold sweat on clean and maybe
some death metal riffs on the warpig. Cheers.
