i recently found out about this pickup that you guys make known as the warpig, and just found some sound clips of it. I fell in love with its sound. Nice and chunky on the bottom strings but has tons of pick attack on the top strings. It sounds sick. I think i might have to get a calibrated set of them.

Only problem is that i live in america, and so the exchange rate from anywhere to america does not help me any because the dollar aint doing so swell. (Damn you George Bush).

But i love the sound of these pickups and am willing to save up the money. How much do warpig sets cost in terms of u.s. dollars?

I think i really have found the pickups for me, please help me out here.

Also is it possible to get warpigs that look like nailbombs or have plain gold covers with no pole pieces sticking through?

Thank you in advance,
ShredHead.

A set of Warpigs should be like $320. I'm not 100% sure though just wait for TO to chime in.

but yeah... definately not Bush's fault.

US customers aren't liable for UK taxes so they save 17.5% off the list price,ie a calibrated set of Warpigs list for £220, minus the VAT(17.5%)= £187.23. The $ is starting to fight back on the world markets now( it was almost £1 = $2!!)and it's @ £1 = $1.7 so based on this you're looking at $318 for the pair plus shipping.
Something else for you US players to keep in mind is we're slowly picking up US dealers, give Bob at The Guitar Cellar a call, 303-444-2101, he stocks BKPs now and should be able to give you a better price.

thank you tim, that is way more reasonable than i had expected them to be, i thought they would cost more around 400$ or so. I would like to call bob, but i'm wondering if i could get my engraving done to the pickups which i talked to you about, and also have the cover be gold with no pole pieces sticking through, just the engraving. So do you think you could do those things to the pickups and still have me be able to buy from bob at a lower price?
