I think it sounded great! Very organic, which is a hell of a contrast to what you normally hear  from 8-stringers.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the tone either.  It has a very obvious direct sound.  That aside one thing I really like is that the heavy parts don't have that hollow sound like most other 8 string clips have. It almost sounds like a more composed distorted bass at some parts, which I though was cool. So thumbs up for the pickups  :good:
