Using the Nailbomb and the ColdSeat.
I tried a take with MY JSX and a take with my Rectoverb.
The Recto is turning out to be really hard to record at anything below ear shattering volumes

I know the Recto clip sounds fizzy but in the room it sounded freaking great.
I'm lost on how to dial out the fizz at a lower volume without losing the balls of the recording.

Nevermore is awesome! Great playing, do you know The River Dragon Has Come? That would be a cool song to play. I like your first clip the best; what song is it by the way?

Well done sir! I just bought a set of 6-string Nailbombs on ebay. The 7-string will have to wait, pickup GAS hit me hard! At least I'll have an easier decision when the time comes.

Most excellent! I loved both clips actually. The fuzz isn't so bad on the recto clip, and I hate fuzz. Brutal sound and even more brutal playing. Keep it up.

I would say the JSX has more balls to it which means MOAR BETTERZ!!!!

I tried this again tonight with the Rectoverb really cranked up and cut back with my hotplate.
cut the mids a bit and the gain way back.
the mix isn't great but I think I'm getting closer??
any better?

Ya my tracks are way too down low in the mix on this take.
My sound is actually a lot better here too.
these C90's are a lot more "mic Position" sensitive than my recto cab with the V30's are.

Cool Nick I didn't know you were registered here. That's one of my favorite Nevermore tunes ever! I still think it's crazy we grew up in the same town and have never met. We should jam sometime man. :)
