It is going to be like poo hitting you in the face at 2,000,000,000 miles per hour. Freddie was Queen, now let it lie!

Freddie was a great, if not the greatest frontman that ever lived.

But he's gone now, and even though it wont be Queen as we know it, i'm still excited to hear what Brian May comes up with!

May, Taylor &  Rodgers all have good a good pedigree and hopefully it will live up to that. I just think they should call themselves by another name.

Agreed,

There's only two guys left now, why not just start a new band?

I guess maybe they're trying to cling on to the sellability of the name queen.

+1 Queen was all four of them. If nothing else, a new name wouldn't seem so wrong in the face of Freddie's early demise.

Intrigued to hear what they come up with, but fearful that it's just not going to impress me very much...

I think it makes sense for those guys to work together and do new stuff -- but I agree that a new twist on the name would be good.  Maybe they can keep the "Queen" bit for salability, but add some kinda modifier .... Queen Consort?  Queen Regent?  Queens of the Bohemian Age?    (just kidding ....)

I don't have a problem with them using the name, there are tribute bands out there making a living from it, why shouldn't the guys who started the band?  They probably regard it as "continuing the Queen legacy" or something.  After all the band never split - they might still be going if Freddie hadn't died, and Deacy might never have left.

Whatever name they go by, it's still one of the best bands in the planet. I still regret not going to their first show here in Holland. Maybe next time.

I saw it later on TV and it blew me away.

I'm glad they are doing it. I just hope it's not disappointing.

:D For me, I`m looking forwards to hearing it. But I also agree they should have a new name. Maybe a name that comes off of there Queen albums, or songs, how `bouts "Brighton Rock or even just "Champions" etc etc.

They did 1 of the new songs from the new album on the last Al Murray TV show a month or so back.

Can't say I was that impressed with it personally
