The one on the Boss PW-10 wah is pretty good. I liked that pedal for a while, the uni-vibe sounded good and was tweakable. Compact too.

the Sweet Sound one is really nice, as is the Fulltone one with the pedal built-in to control the speed, and the Prescription Electronics one is fantastic too. I had the Roger Mayer one for years and never got on with it - avoid!

for a Univibe 'type' tone I just use a Phase45 these days, but a good Univibe is MUCH funkier.

I was looking at the BBE Soulvibe which looks okay, probably the best option if budget is an issue. Next step up the ladder would be the Vodoo Labs Micro Vibe. Both have an optical circuit so are somewhere approaching the real thing. The BBE is on my wih list....

This is from a post I made on another guitar forum. Some of these have been listed already but trust me on this list for reasons given at the end of the post.

-Fulltone Deja Vibe and Deja Vibe 2 with built in foot controller

-Sweetsound Mojo-Vibe

-Sweetsound Ultra Vibe (if you can find one)

-Foxrox Pro-Vibe in the Captain Coconut or Captain Coconut2 pedal (discontinued and expensive but comes with fuzz and octavia)

-Prescription Electronics Vibe Unit

-Mega Vibe

You can usually find these for reasonable prices on eBay."

I was in the market for one and did research for a long time. I listened to a lot of sound clips and read up on every forum I could find with a vibe pedal mentioned and the best I found were those listed above. I went with the Fulltone Deja Vibe(big gold box) and it sounds great.

I own a Fulltone mini deja-vibe. The mini deja-vibe is the same pedal as the deja-vibe 2 but without the wah-like speed control. It has a big speed knob on it though which is easy enough to adjust with your foot.

I've previously owned a sweetsound mo-faux vibe, a simple one-knob pedal which get's into the uni-vibe ballpark but lacks the lush, full organic quality of the more accurate reproductions, such as the deja-vibe or mojo-vibe. It's a cheaper alternative, depending on your budget.

Another one worth checking our is a Red Witch Moon Phaser. It's not actually a uni-vibe clone, just a really great sounding (if expensive) phaser that can do a decent vibe-ish impression. Of the many pedals I've seen come and go, this is the only one I regret selling. Although it does not do a 100% accurate uni-vibe sound, it get's close enough to fool many and is a far more versitile pedal than a straight vibe.

BBE makes a pedal called Soul Vibe, total funk machine, Hughes& Kettner Rotosphere is also good, but pricey......... just my 2 cents

I wouldn't know a good (or bad) Uni-Vibe if it bit me, but just for info there's a review in the March 2008 Guitar Player comparing an original Uni-Vibe with the Fulltone Deja Vibe 2, Love Pedal Vibe, Moollon ReVibe and T-Rex Viper.

All pretty pricey, apart from the Love Pedal. They liked the Fulltone best.

For the money, I would recommend trying the Marshall Vibtrem. Its a great little pedal for about £25 on Ebay!

Yeah another vote for the Bob Sweet Ultravibe. I prefer it to the Fulltone Dejavibe ( I have both). But what do I know - Robin Trower uses the Fulltone and to blistering effect. Funnily enough I can get a great Univibe sound from the Pigtronix EP-1, ( a very funky machine with a myriad of sounds under its belt).

I agree as I own it and love it, but I would not call it a univibe... it is similar but not as extreme, and that's why I prefer it.

These are both expensive pedals, but it'd be worth every penny.

I like the Fulltone very much, and have an older style gold mains driven one. I would like slightly more depth on this model. I have played through the modern Deja Vibe and that is very nice too. Both these models compare very favourably with an original Univibe. The Fulltone also has a vintage/modern switch which simulates the loading of the signal you experience on original Univibes (they were designed for keyboards).

I expect that the other boutique Univibe clones which have essentially reverse engineered a Univibe to sound fairly similar.

The Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe is quite a nice pedal, but requires quite a lot of care to dial in good sounds as there are several fairly useless settings. Neither of the Jim Dunlop Univibe type offerings are worth investigating in my opinion.

Another alternative is the Line 6 MM4 which has quite a nice Univibe sound (and is stereo), as well as some useful Leslie type settings. The less said about the chorus the better.......
