Hi guys I am going to be buying a Novation X Station 61 and would like to know what is the best way to get setup? Want it for midi controlling, playing keyboard and to record with guitar/bass.
Please spec any cables and hardware I'd need. I've a Microcube and a DistX which both have line outs ( I think) and would like to DI using these into my software ( already have some ). I think the XStation has decent preamps and quality for recording? I don't know much about recording etc.
I don't want an expensive recording rig but I'd like a versatile one that will last so I'd be spending maybe up to £300. Would like to mic my amps in the future.

EDIT: Could I plug in a SM58 and it would be fine for vocals?
