Yeah it's one of those things that's incredibly difficult to compose and to play, and super-impressive to watch, but in the end it does nothing for most people. It's not the sort of music people relate to.

Are you kidding? This stuff is immensely popular. I haven't heard one person say he didn't like Andy McKee.

I can't say I'm convinced, I've never seen any of his CDs in shops (although i havent been looking for them), I've never seen him on telly or in the paper, and I've never seen anyone sporting a T-shirt with his name on.
Immensely popular maybe, but only on YouTube.

I stand corrected. I guess it's the kind of music that will make you immensely popular on youtube or for 5 minutes at a party, but you'll have a hard time getting an actual fanbase.
