just a bit of fun really, but i have a spare cold sweat, and would really like some VH2s. i'll take any result with a pinch of salt :)

feel free to make other suggestions, but i know my taste in guitars, and these are the ones i'm interested in.

i've quite a few Vs, an SG (p90), a Les Paul(p90), a headless and a squier cyclone. don't want to spend a fortune, so i'll be looking for bargains. i suppose i'm coming to the end of my collection in a way, at least for humbucker guitars,

Well, since there are two things you want, I won't vote, but just say
Super strat for VHII - Twinfan seems extra pleased with the result
Les Paul for Cold Sweat. You definately need a humbucking LP :P

I had to read that twice, isn't that an understatement of the century?

Plus, I would go for a Les Paul. Maybe an Epi Elitist, it's MIJ but still 'cheap' (ish)

Completely agree with this.

The Jackson DK2M at £350 is the best value Superstrat out there at the moment, and it's Japanese!  A complete steal.

For the Cold Sweat, there are a million Les Paul options but I'd thoroughly recommend a Signature LP if you can get hold of one.  Myself and Sambo have been very impressed with ours.

Explorer.

I didn't actually try an Epi Korina (there was a dark cherry Gibson right next to it and it was gorgeous, and I had the money...) but I've heard they're good value. I was put off by the gold hardware, but I'm sure I saw a black Epi in Denmark St the other week, that looked very sexy. If that one had been next to "my" Gibson I might have tried it.

thanks for all the responses and advice.

nice to see some explorer love :) (can't understand dislike of headless though)

firebird is a good call, but i guess not so easy to fit CS or VH2 without routing - i do like them though.

twinfan gives some informed tips there - cheers!

If it was a spare Warpig I'd definitely say Hello Kitty....
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.

A Les Paul for the CS and a superstrat for the VHII.

  I too would love to put a decent pickup in a Squier Hello Kitty!  A pink one of course.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Explorer - VHII's work in them really well, but I have a warpig/MQ set in my Richwood.  Cold Sweat is like a good dirty fingers, and they were fitted as standard to the 76 explorers.
So many pickups, so little time
