Hank Marvin playing Apache single coils

This is a clip of Hank Marvin with Bruce, Brian Bennet and Marty Wilde on vocals and Roger Newell on bass at the Palladium. Hank is playing Rogers 57 reissue Strat fitted with Apache single coils. Hank said they sounded great!

I'll have to check this out at home later, but what a great coup!

Is he the first artist to try their "signature" pickup after it's been produced?  Or has Angus already played a Riff Raff, or John Sykes a Cold Sweat??

Cool tone!

Those pickups really come into their own when they're played by their 'signature' artist.

Go Hank! That was class. As I understand, he's a really nice guy too. I second the request for John Sykes to play the Cold Sweats!  :D

Yeah, that was terrific!  :D   Great tone, he picks each note so cleanly.

Roger Newell must be a real Shadows fan, with a Strat that colour - it even has the modified whammy bar Hank uses.

I'm working on John Sykes..........Scott Gorham has a Cold Sweat humbucker so there's a good chance John might have a blast.

Roger Newell is a huge Shads fan hence the completely Hanked guitar.

Yeah, great playing from Hank.  Better than I expected for some reason

Nice work on John Sykes too, could be interesting to hear what he thinks of them.

I'd like to hear Angus on Riff Raffs personally  ;)

What a great Strat tone. One of the first electric guitar tones. He does a play so well.

I want to hear Scot Gorham and John Sykes playing on Cold Sweats!

Isn't there the Green / Moore LP equipped with PG blues now? or one of them using them?
