HEY - Need suggestions :)
« on: September 11, 2005, 03:21:14 AM »
Hey, Im soon going to get some kickass BKPs made for me, and Im wondering what I should go with. Im looking for a very nice loud and crunchy tone when distorted, I mostly play metal in the style of Lamb of God. But at the same time, when clean I need a nice loud and warm crystal clear tone. What pickup can achieve this? I was thinking something like the nailbomb, im going to need both neck and bridge pups so I dunno a combination of nailbomb miracle man? I have no idea, any suggestions and help would be amazing :) Thanks dudes

The Nailbomb set would be my first choice. Its distorted tone is fantastic, as is its clean tone. It really is a very versatile pickup. Check out some of the clips in the player’s room.

At the same time, I want crystal clear tone. So is the nailbomb or miracle man going to work for that? Or should I talk to you guys about a custom wind? Thanks

The Miracle Man won't do cleans as well as the Nailbombs due to it's effecient ceramic magnet which tends to make the clean tone too hard edged and lack warmth.
The Nailbomb would be my choice, it's got great mid punch, cleans up well and has plenty of power too 8)
