you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly
I thought marshalls were meant to be played with everything on 10 :o It sounds a bit thin and scratchy, kinda solid state-ish again. I just put the clip into reaper and boosted the lower mids by 7db and bass by a few and it sounded much thicker and fuller to me :)

Is it really that bad? I know my laney sounds a bit cr@p with everything on 10 because the treble is too harsh but when you turn that down you get a really good sound :)
