Has anyone been watching the highlights?

It hasn't been amazing from what I've seen, especially Amy Winehouse, she was terrible :/

But Jay Z rocked it, awesome set!

I don't understand why anyone would want to go to that mud fest, especially considering the line ups better at Reading, which is a similar kind of festival.
Black Dogs

glastonbury is an experience in its own right... doesnt really matter if the line up is cr@p, there is always something to be doing!!

i have been to reading quite often and a few other festivals over the years and even though i usually prefer the music at reading it still doesnt compare to glasto

having said that, i was at glasto last year working in the kids field doing arty cr@p with small hippy children called moonflower or whatever and i cant say it was completely enjoyable all the time

the mud did get too much to handle and made everything more difficult than it needed to be.  that meant we ended up missing most of the big bands and focusing on the small tents.  i dont think i would have been happy if i had payed to go or was in with the general campers who were getting washed away and i was not happy with the smell surrounding the second stage field/lake .

Verve and Kings of Leon excluded, I thought the line up was rather good. I don't even have a problem with KoL as such, they're just not big enough to headline yet.

Yeah, JayZ was ace.

Is that because you don't like him in general though? :)

Paul McCartney and Cliff Richard are indefensible, Feline.

Jay-z is awesome. I got a few of his albums recently and it's amazing. Paul McCartney is dreadful, I love the Beatles, but anything the man does himself is horrible. And don't get me started on Cliff...

I don't know if Jay Z was good, bad or indifferent because I just don't "get" hip hop/rap/whatever you want to call it.  I don't get it at all.  It just sounds like idiotic mumbling to me.

As for Glasto in general, I flicked over to the BBC coverage a few times but it never seemed to be anyone I like.  Some of these new indie (is it still indie? ) guitar bands are OK, but they're never rawk enough for me.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM
