Any IEC type cord would work as long as it's long enough! But why not take the opportunity to try one of these? http://www.russandrews.com/lookup/1/region/UK/currency/GBP/customer_id/PAA0835073908688JTNJTPYJHRZSZJVX/product-The-Silver-Signature-PowerKord-1549.htm

I remember a thread on TGP about such power cables. The general consensus was that it was such a load of old baloney, as all the power has to pass through all sorts of wall cabling etc before getting to your equipment. It couldn't possibly make a difference having a high quality last metre or two.

Exactly!

Its gone through dozens or hundreds of miles of cable already, and I'm pretty $%&#ing sure that that lot wasnt 1600 per metre.

Plus, I bet that IF, IF theres a difference, its $%&#ing marginal. Power cabling is big thick lengths of copper carrying a big fat signal of dumb simple sinusoidal AC.

Now, I did expect anyone would be dumb enough to try and make a high end power cable.

Mostly I didnt expect anyone would be dumb enough to buy it.

Exactly! It's a bargain (only if they had them in stock though), and for the nay-sayers who claim that it's a waste of time buying expensive mains leads because of shoddy house wiring, just get yourself some of this and rewire your entire home :P

To quote "Your system will sound sweeter and more natural, rhythmic and musical."

More rhythmic Hmmm let me think !!!!!

More musical, let me think about that too, so if I wire my house with that Phil Collins, Jay Z & Paris Hilton will sound better !

Does anybody smell anything associated with the rear end of cattle ?
Goodbye London !

They will indeed - during the time between taking out the old wiring and putting the new wiring in.

Mr Chu also said:

"It's so smooth and silky that I joke to my friends that you can fantasize Sophie Marceau breathing into yours ears and her fingers running up and down your body."

... so he obviously already has a very active imagination.  But oooh, ....thanks for sharing that thought, Mr Chu.  :)

Ah, the joys of psychoacoustics.

Yes, that term can apply both to percieving differences in sounds according to expectation and context (often based on price), AND meshuggah, but in completely different ways :D

i know... i don't know what i started... it was actually a serious question at the beginning.

anyway, i took my epi's plug apart last night and it seems to have a 3 amp fuse... my old computer lead is 13... so i need to get a 3 amp fuse... (needless to say, we have loads of 13 amp fuses in the house, but no 3s...)
