As a guitarist I rate myself on a sliding scale between shiteeeeeee and very shiteeeeeee. I'm pretty sure I could do a better job than SB though.

Don't think I could.  Guess that makes me very very shiteeeeeee.

Course you can Phil, have some faith!!  :D

Yeah Phil - course you can!

Thanks chaps.  Have you noticed it adds another "e" every time you quote the word "shitee"?

How very strange. I thought I had added only one "e" as well - maybe I'm not going mad after all.
I think I hate being indecisive.

the word 'Sh!te' contains the word 'Sh!t'. an extra 'e' is added to the word 'Sh!t' to make it 'sh!te' thus, we have shitee  :)

Just how much less offensive is "shite" than "shite" without an 'e'?

I think they can be equally effective, in the right context.

It's hard to think of an example, but one instinctively knows when something is right.

Yes I agree Philly, for example I always thought the Sherry 'Croft Original' tasted like shiteee being more of a Port chap myself!  But I am told by some Sherry drinkers in Moscow that 'c--kburns' tastes like shite. What  do you reckon?

I'd say QC - there's no better tasting British sherry fortified wine.

"So I come from Mosc--k?"
"Yes, I think you probably do."
