EDIT: I'm guessing PRS McCarty of some kind. Or perhaps Singlecut.

The clued up ones on the forum, especially those who know me well, could probably work it out anyway.

I'm a sucker for a deal and this one, if it works out OK, was a steal  :D

Sambo's made a good stab at it

I think this looks quite good too, but not in the same league quite
Angelguitars
Also has the mix of flame and plain, that seems more historically correct than the heavy chevron fashion ugh.
The refinish imperfection near the bookmatch line just adds to the cool factor

I think I actually prefer the look of that one Will.

But on the same site... WOOF BABY!!:

Oh, silly me, they're not actually Les Pauls, are they?

Going back to the original topic, even though I'd pick a PRS over an LP playing-wise, I like the look of the Gary Rossington LP a lot better than that particular PRS.  The blue top/natural back and gold anodised bridge do nothing for me, I have to say.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

PRS guitars are ok, but when I pick up a Les Paul in a side-by-side comparison, there is no competition - Les Paul every time.

You have to bear in mind, if I was only allowed one guitar, it would have to be a strat... (alder body, rosewood board, vintage radius, standard trem with all five springs installed, but tightened down so it doesn't move, single coils, 5-way switch, tone re-wired as a single master, other knob left as a dummy)

But bearing all that in mind, I'm with sgmypod, I love the idea of les pauls. The Gary Rossington looks stunning, as did the second one Will posted. And I had a peep in Billy Gibbons's book the other day, there's a close-up of Pearly Gates in there that, well... swoon...

I'm also with HEAVIER THAN HELL. I've tried a few times to like PRSs - they are obviously class, but they just don't do anything for me when I play them. I've not laid hands on a Mira, but a while back I tried a few others, followed by two Gibson LPs. The PRSs and one of the Gibsons all had a similar effect on me - classy but not speaking to me (the PRSs seemed better made, btw). The other LP, on the other hand, was gorgeous to touch, play, etc... I was sorely tempted, but I don't regret not buying it - it was £1400, and too much as far as I was concerned (I got a Love Rock a month or two later that feels almost as good - not quite - for a lot less than half that).

I wouldn't pay big money for a strat either, by the way - I know you can get a killer (with Fender on the headstock), brand new, for around £550, then add some BKPs, who needs to pay more?  :D

There's no prettier guitar than a plain top Les Paul. PRS single-cuts are an abomination to the design. Looks like an amoeba stuck in the middle of mitosis.

Don't hold back there ilyti

I have to admit the singlecut does look a bit "caught-between-two-stools" for my tastes, but I'm sure there's a lot of folk that love them...?

I think the Singlecut has taken the design of the Les Paul, and improved it in everyway personally. Lighter, more modern, prettier, sleeker, more ergonomic, etc.

Noodle, I thought you would say that the Eclipse is the LP imrpovement.
I disagree about the PRS being an improved LP, the control layout is not right IMO, nor prettier / sleeker / ergonomic.
Feline's standard Lion thing seems best, with the carved heel, (usually) traditional headstock, and about the perfect LP weight.

Thanks Will !!
I like LPs to look classic from the front but feel easier to play and have easier access, hence the modifications I make to my Lion range. Matt77's Quilted Lion shown below - view of heel area
