Orientation/direction of capacitors
« on: July 09, 2008, 12:25:34 PM »
Hi, guys!

Iīm changing pots and capacitors in my Les Paul right now. Just wondering if there is any mandatory direction through the capacitors? They are oil paper Vitamin Qs. Just noticed that one end is metal and the other one blackish. Didnīt think it would matter, but better to ask than to do it all over :)

They should not have a polarity, only really seen electrolytic caps that need to be oriented properly. Just bang them in any way that is easy, should be a-ok!
