MM HB Bridge in Charvel Model 6

Koch amp loads of gain and a bit of delay and reverb. A few F ups but after 10 takes it just got worse for me!

Hmm, a bit too much chorus for my taste, but that tone is heavier than wet carpet!! :)
Some of the pentatonic runs were quite nice, John!!!

Hey man, cool playing.

I like the tone, very 80s! To me it sounds like there is a bit chorus on there, or is that the combination of delay and reverb.

Cool clip, i like some of the licks 1:23 onwards.

Thanks lads!

I did put a bit of chorus on it but not a lot in the wet/dry mix.

I can't do any runs that don't involve pentatonics thats the thing. There very hard habits to break!

Cheers Chris! That rock vibe is more down to pentatonics I'd say but I prefer music with that in anyway!

How's the axe coming along? Nearly done? It was you getting the custom one built wasn't it?

Yeah bung some clips up when you get it! :D

Get a book called Scales and Modes for Guitar by Cliff Dowse. You can get old ones via Amazon for about £5.00 It's got the lot in there including ethnic pentatonics which are good fun. You can go through your Indian phase! Or Japanese, Persian ect!

I've just bought it again after lending the first one to someone and not getting it back.

yep will get clips up when i can, got one of Tims JCM 800's to play with aswell..

aye custom one from Bob Johnson, couple of weeks to go now!

Will check that book out, my problem is that i never managed to make it to seeing\using scales as actual 'music' rather than just a fingering exercise played forward or backwards!!(if that makes sense!)

My theory\lead stuff REALLY lets me down,  especially after 5yrs of (admittedly on and off for the first couple) playing :(

Sounded good to me. I know what you mean about pentatonics- they are addictive buggers. I bet you had a good time playing that.

Start with linking say in A all the pentatonic shapes and linking them together. Try and get some licks and blend them in there too.

As for modes and scales, I'm still having some probs there myself!

Hey there, I was wondering if maybe you could make a clip without the chorus 'n stuff? I own a Model 6 too, and I'm looking for a pickup that can give me the Dragonforce/Therion/etc... like 'liquid' 'smooth' 'round' solo-sound, but as much as I like the clip, it's hard to hear the natural sound of the pickup through the chorus.
