Its kind of hard to tell through the wall of effects, but I think they could get you there. Is there anything better for it? Maybe. Dont know.

And yes, the guy can play!

His '61 Strat has the original pickups (well, 2 out of the 3 in fact), so I suppose the closest equivalent of the actual pickups would be the Mother's Milk set?

Whether that's going to give you his tone or not is a totally different question!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I agree with Philly, Mother's Milks are the pickups you need, though Sultans would also give you the clean tones too.
So many pickups, so little time

Blug's tone is based on early 60s pickups, which according to the various comparison sites (mostly originating from Seymour Duncan's table) clock in at 6.2k like the Irish Tours - I would reckon that some Irish Tours wound with 50s/early 60s Formvar wire rather than mid 60s plain enamel wire would get that tone perfectly.  Don't know if BK do that as a custom order though.

Wooo! That guy can play.

My ITs can get me close to that sort of tone, a bit thicker sounding and not so glassy though.

However, my strings are 11s and I'm quite aggressive on both right and left hand. It looks to me like he's got a scalloped fingerboard, and his strings look a fair bit floppier than mine, so his touch is probably a lot lighter. I suspect he'd exactly sound the same if he put ITs in there... (whether he'd prefer MMs or Sultans instead though, I couldn't say!)

Well impressed with his playing - ended up watching several clips. Interesting hearing him talking about what he does as well.

I would take some Alnico V Apaches, maybe wound a bit hotter just like Elliott suggests (Irish Tours with Formvar = hotter Alnico V Apaches).
