Fine! I'm outvoted.....I'm gonna go sulk....is that a hobby ;)
Yes... As long as you're not doing it passively

Oh, its active alright!

What if I have to drive somwhere to pay to watch other people sulk?

If it's a one off event, night out with the lads, "hey, why don't we go and watch some people sulking?" sort of thing, then no... but if you end up liking it and it turns into a regular thing, you invest some time and money it, maybe even start collecting souvenirs, and then workmates start accusing you of being obsessive about it... then I think you've earned the right to say you've found a new hobby... :D

I always felt a bit sorry for Onan - imagine being remembered as nothing more than a posh name for wanking, when it wasn't even what you actually did in the first place.

But better than not being remembered at all, perhaps.  No such thing as bad publicity.

So if it becomes an expensive and time consuming habit, I can call it a hobby?

Then smoking is a hobby for me!

I wouldn't say that too loud though - just like everywhere else nowadays, there are some well meaning folk who will try to help you :D

Giving up smoking is a hobby for me. It's easy, I've done it loads of times.

Used to play golf too. Hated it. So i used to take 8 cans of 1664 in the golf bag. Loved it.

Onanism.

Best answer so far!
May have some forumites reaching for the dictionary as well!

It's more of an affliction than a hobby come to think of it...
There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary.
Those who do and those who do not.

Tipsy Golf is good, but it's no Catchgolf.

As played in my teens on Dungannon golf course. A few lagered up lads hide in the hedge near a good long fairway. await a good drive. Run out, pluck the ball from the air (a background of playing hurling helps!!), and scream "catchgolf!!!", whil;st legging it in the opposite direction PDQ.

I like to think we're the reason Darren Clarke got so good.
Evil, Evil, Evil...

Don't need to pay just go to youtube and search for emo

As I have 2 teen age kids I would suggest that paying for them not to sulk was already a national and very active pastime for many people

Hobbies?

Oh wow, thats humiliating...

My hobbies are basically 99% music, reading about music theory, becoming proficient on as many instruments as I can, composing, arranging, and I make a hobby out of trying to challenge and improve my tastes by listening as widely as I can... it sounds a little sad, and I don't do a whole lot else, but I'm loving it.

I was planning on becoming a concert pianist but 9 months ago I got RSI and busted up my index fingers real bad (hasn't gone away yet, and doctors say I wont be able to play again) so I widened my hobbies a little... Now i read up on politics and history as well as classic literature, and ride my bike, have a girlfriend, etc.

Errr I also like golf and other sports, but by other passion besides guitars and music are bikes. Push bikes to be precise, preferably fixed or road bikes...yum...

I also like building FX pedals in winter when nights are short and I am at a loss as to what to do...
