Jimmy Page - Biological Research????

Don't know if this one has been posted before......a VERY young Jimmy Page playing skiffle in 1958 and telling the interviewer he hoped to be  a Biological Researcher  :roll: :roll:

Mind you, that was how one talked in those days wasn't it chaps... (and he pretty much delivered the goods in later life) so we'll have to let him off! :D

I always thought he seemed like a nice polite little chap.  Haven't seen it for a while though.

There's a similar clip somewhere with a very young (and posh) "Michael" Jagger being interviewed.  I think it's on an "outward bound" school trip, rock climbing or something like that (unless I've totally mis-remembered).

It is the clip I remembered, and he does seem much more like Philly's "nice polite little chap" - sorry Jimmy!! :oops:

I think I was confusing it with another interview later on once the LZ phenomenom took hold of the US, when he had much the same voice and was speaking of music in very "pretentious sentences" indeed!!

But this little chap, isn't he sweet? The parents of those toddlers who were destined to be young nymphettes in the 70s would have been more than happy if told "your daughter will be associating with this young man in 10 years time..."

"hmmm, yes, I think our daughter could do a lot worse, Biological Research sounds like a very wholesome profession, don't you think dear?..."

To be fair, he kinda did get to be a biological researcher of sorts.
