I quite liked the 300, which was Zack's last film. If he puts in as much thought into this as he did into the 300, it should be pretty good tbh.

Dark Knight was epic.

Is Dark Knight worth watching if I've never really been into batman and dont know the storyline at all?

YES.

Watch Batman Begins first. It's not as good as TDK- but really sets the scene. Think of it as a prelude to the undiluted AWESOME that the dark knight will be.

Oh and i want to see it at an imax cinema, meant to be freaking sweet.

The best cinema we have here is Vue in northampton. A fiver with student discount, huge screen, great surround sound and the seats are really comfy and they recline! So much better than odeon.

Sorry, but this trailer just underscores the question: Just because you can do a thing, does that mean you should?

And it also answers the question...

I preferred Batman Begins but I think it might be because that one ended on a lighter, more positive note. I found the end of TDK a bit daunting but I guess it's a good thing, adds to the darkness of the tone, gives a good sense of foreboding.

But I'm not going to go off on one of my Batman waffling sessions, I'll start another thread maybe, hehe. Suffice to say even though I didn't like TDK as much as begins, it's still the best film I've seen in a long time, and Heath Ledger (RIP, damn shame!) did the best job anyone could ever do on the Joker, he was amazing! :D
