Mark, thanks for the review of the Romanay. Just one last question, how loud are they?
Loud enough for band practise with a fairly light drummer?
I'm looking to by 1 combo that I can use for everything for under a grand. I have a VC30 at the moment but want the next step up tone wise. My Laney never gets above 4 anyway...
The 10w setting is pretty loud, too loud for home practice. You'd probably get away with it if your drummer's not too loud. Only
played a few jam sessions without a drummer so not really speaking from experience. I would say buy it if it is mainly for home
use with a few band practice sessions thrown in, but you may want to look at something bigger for regular band use. Some
bigger Cornells switch down to 5w, but this is still too loud for home use, also would take you way over your budget.
If you're not sure, I would try to find a Romany to try out.
As for sound clips, I don't have any recording gear at the moment (also a bit of a technophobe!), so maybe sometime in the future.
