VHII/Mule Combination

what do you think of this combination for classic rock/80's metal and some heavy stuff?

Sounds very reasonable to me. I like the calibrated VHII set actually, but for my taste on my VHII set I have to lower the neck PU quite a bit to have the right balance. Maybe a Mule will just be right in the neck.

with the hotter VHII at the bridge, I'd be looking at an A5 neck 'bucker for more clarity.
