finally decided...
« on: August 24, 2008, 02:28:15 PM »
after a couple of months of cash problems, i have finally had that great moment where you open your wallet, and find £20 in there you never knew you had. in my case, £250 :)
my BKP set of choice now is to be a sinner in the bridge and i imagine then trilogies would go in the neck and middle positions? this seems to be the only combination reviewed on harmony central.
just a couple of questions before i buy :)

1. are the trilogies my best bet for the middle and neck positions to compliment the sinner in the bridge?
2. should i go for 500k pots?
3. should i bother with baseplates on any positions?
4. i have a vintage 70's strat. will the vintage stagger option on the magnets affect the sound at all? (ive read that flat profile is reccomended as the sinner and trilogies are more modern pickups)

i probably wont be dissappointed regardless of my decision, just want to get the absolute best out of my BKPs when they arrive :)

thanks for any feedback

Sinner and 2 Trilogies will sound mighty, indeed.

I got my Trilogy with vintage stagger just because I like the look of it. With modern strings, the stagger isn't as big an issue as it was back in the day.

My neck radius is 7.25” Radius (184mm), so vintage stagger is probably my best bet id imagine?
