Was jamming with amplitube 2 earlier and came across the octave riff patch. With a bit of tweaking its pretty awesome for that odd fuzzy almost synthy kinda sound. Got some riffs together, programmed some drums and heres the result

Didnt want to post in players cos its not really a "good" example of bkp tone but I did use bridge mule for all of it. The bass was just my normal guitar through an octave pedal again but didnt let any of the original signal through so its just the octave down you hear. Bit different from my usual style as well. Not happy with the bass at the ending tho, it goes a bit too fuzzy and crackly I think.

haha 52 views and only 1 reply  Cheers nad, I havent listened to CKY for ages. Someone on HC pointed out the first riff is basically a ripoff of Edgar Winter Groups Frankenstein. I'd never even heard it before but it is pretty much the same thing

I've made this track better now, used a TR909/808 vst instrument thing and various other vst instruments plus a trem guitar! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=870027&songID=6877242

Also changed the riff so its not Frankenstein any more
