Funny stuff extracted from another forum
« on: August 31, 2008, 11:51:28 PM »
All I was doing was looking for people's opinions regarding Amplitube 2 vs. Guitar Rig 3 (if you're interested Amplitube wins hands down for me), and I got far more than I bargained for.

When you record them, you also get to factor in mic, mic position, preamps (ocassional) compressors and real, good-old-fashioned H2O (air)

As you can see; he's made a fatal and frankly embarrassing (but forgivable ;) ) mistake with his statement...
...however, the thing that makes it golden (and completely unforgivable) is the way he goes on to explain to us what H2O is. As if we're the idiots  FANTASTIC.

On Friday, one of the recruitment agancies I use sent me this.  It's an honest email why a woman couldn't turn up for a job interview that had been set up.

" Simon

I have an appoitment with you this afternoon at 4.30  I am unable to attend sorry for the short notice but I was rear ended last night and I am very sore today and unable to drive,  or even sit properly

regards"
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I have recently seen an application for a job in which the applicant put at the bottom of their CV a set of dates during which they would be unavailable, followed by the statement: "Apologies for any incontinence this may cause".

Unbelievably, they got the job! :)

recently had 150 CVs at work for one job, can't believe what some people put in them, unfortunately all I remember is someone's personal profile being 3 huge paragraphs

The forum is here Horrible name for a forum....

I like how he said O2 was air- luckily someone corrected him, air is 70% nitrogen... I have 12 year olds in my class that know more than these chimps...

^ yeah, air certainly isn't all oxygen... it's 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, then the rest noble gases, carbon dioxide, etc.

water transmits sound very well, doesn't it? that's how whales and dolphins communicate over vast distances, i think.
