I'm actually quite impressed by the tone and riffs on this youtube 'taster'.  My biggest fear is that the vocals are gonna suck really bad, thats what lets them down the most these days. 

Oh well, at the least the music does sound like they said it would - a cross between Justice and the Black album.

James used a lot of his gibsons with stock pickups in them so yeah it could well be passives.

Also kirk has also been doing the same with his les pauls that are stock too.

Did anyone see the special about them on the Culture show? I just saw it on iPlayer, and it made me want to crank out some of their old tunes 8) ...just not the new ones :P

The vocals and lyrics are what ruins it for me nowadays, he just doesn't have the voice anymore.

Looking forward to the music though!
