Suggested SC Neck Pickup for Caparison?
« on: September 09, 2008, 05:02:29 AM »
I'm new here, just signed up to ask this question. I'm swapping out the stock pickups on my caparison (Which you probably already heard are cr@p) And I'm wondering what SC combination I should use with these humbuckers:

- VHII Humbucker in Bridge
or
- Painkiller in Bridge

I'm looking for a SC that will have a good combination with whatever one of those humbuckers I choose, I think i'm going to have to flip a coin because I'm completely torn between them. I'm looking for a good blend when I switch both of them on. Basically something to match or complement the humbucker I'm choosing.

This is what I'm using it in:

Fingerboard: Ebony
Body: Mahogany Arched Top
Bridge: Schaller S-FRT II
Played through a Zoom GFX-8

I play Rock/Hard Rock/Metal. Absolutely no experience with these pickups sorry, I don't even know where to begin  :D Once I feel confident I'll order my humbucker and SC. Also, How does the shipping work when ordering from here?

Archtop mahogany pickups for rock and metal?

Nailbomb or Cold Sweat in the bridge, and Trilogy in the single neck spot?

I've seen some clips of nailbomb, but never any chords on it. trinity is a good combination for VII or Painkiller? Really looking for good crunch and screams, I like how the VHII handles high gain.
