Good place to buy a Dano from EDIT
« on: September 15, 2008, 01:39:10 PM »
Just found out that the place I was going to buy a DC 59 from (red dog in Edinburgh) is out of stock until the end of October. Does anyone know where I could buy one? Preferably in Scotland. And any online places would be nice too.

Edit - Thinking about using GAK, has anyone used them to buy a guitar from before?

I got my prized Ibanez from them a few years ago. I went down there specifically to try it, and it wasn't in the shop. The guy went and got it out the warehouse for me (wherever that is - he returned about 15mins later all puffed out), and plugged me into the amp of my choice. Very nice guys.
Never bought anything from them online though.

I live near GAK and use them all the time. Their online service is very good, I bought my SG off them when I was too ill to leave the house, came next day and only cost me £450. Great service.

I go on there whenever I am in Brighton which is fairly often. I have bought a few expensive things there-I don't know anyone there personally these days but one or two of the  the guys seem keen enough. I like Andertons too though and Guitar Village for that matter. These days Andertons eem to be cheaper-not on everytghing but it is worth comparing prices with GAK.
