It sounds frikking huge! Such a change from Laney's and more suited to my style. I am happy.

Very nice indeed enjoy!.  Whats it like with pedals? Reason I ask I have a Mesa F30, like the amp but it does not get on great with pedals (both through the front and through the effects loop.

Cooool - How do the Single Rectos compare to the Duals and Triples? I never really gauged the differences between them.

I've used wah and chorus and it worked fine. I also boosted the distortion using my modded SD-1 as a sort of clean boost and it sounded pretty awesome, but you have to keep the gain down on the Mesa otherwise it would probably implode the earth or something.

and to Indy's question, i have no idea lol!

Dual and triple recs have more rectifier/power amp options.

:) Glad you like it!  Was a little sorry to see it go but I couldn't justify keeping it with the Savage reigning supreme in my music room.  Hope you get as much pleasure out of it as I did...

Indy (& anyone else wondering): The Single/Dual/Triple Rectifier naming actually refers to different things on each model - the Dual rectifier has a choice between silicone rectifiers & a pair of 5U4 rectifier valves, the Triple rectifier has the same but being a 150 watt head needs 3 5U4s.  The single rectifier doesn't have a switchable rectifier option & is 50 watts.

The model Joe has is one of the very early 50 watt Single Rectos - 2 channel, 50 watt 6L6GC power valves.  Later Single Rectos have switchable bias for 6L6/EL34s.  The later Dual & Triple rectos have 3 channels rather than 2.  There are 100s other differences, but that's the bare bones of it.  Here endeth the history lesson... :)
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

A pair of G12K-100's would give an unimaginable roar that would frighten any emo within 1000 miles. 1000 specifically because it sounds so epic.

Nice amp Joe !!!

What are you're thoughts on the Laney cab  now you've had it for a while ?  Still got the original speakers in it ?

I ask as I actually ordered one last night myself, so I plan to do some speaker swapping and experimenting with it.
