i guess its ok, i bought it for years til recently. i just moved away from the music they were tabbing i guess, i dont really care for too much of 'the new bands that sound exactly like the old bands' y'know? i just buy Guitar Techniques for tabs and Guitarist for reviews and features etc. anyway, thats all just opinion-congrats to Tim & co for the award! its on sale tomorrow, isnt it?

TO is right, Total Guitar is better then our US mags.  Only problem is that an issue of total guitar in America costs like $13 about double what an American magazine costs.

congrats Tim!

Erm...I actually quite like some of the US mags...Vintage Guitar for one, even Guitar Player is OK, we never really hear much of the US music scene through any of the Future Publishing mags.....Total Guitar, What Guitar and Guitarist are all very similar just aimed at diferent markets. I do like Guitar Buyer though, that's becoming a decent read now. Guitarist doesn't seem to be as good as it was ten years ago, before the CD.....I used to read them for hours, but then I was still at school and supposed to be studying something like physics!!
(hey should have been listening, then I might know something about pickups,,,)

It was nice to see a review in guitarist that I can believe though.....restored my faith in them a bit!

True, Vintage Guitar IS good, but that, to me, is a specialty mag, not a mass market rag...

True, and it's nearly all adverts, but that's good, even though it gives me GAS....

If I can make a recommendation, check out Goldmine; it's a music collector's mag, not a guitar mag; but the articles are great!!

Thanks guys-it's been a slow steady climb but we're starting to get somewhere now.
Let me know what you think when you've read the reviews.

Top stuff Tim!!

I'm really thrilled for you.
Getting a breakthrough with Guitarist has been tough for a UK makers.
Maybe they are a bit more openminded  towards Brit made stuff now..
I spoke to them today with view to getting some guiars reviewed with BKP pickups in them.

BTW - Guitarist and Total Guitar"s owners (Future publishing) also now own Guitar World and Guitar One magazine. So they do have input in the USA market.
The big trouble is now that the interviews from one magazine end up in the other titles a few months later which can be very disappointing - reduced choice in many ways!
