Options for blocking off a floyd

I want to make the V i have a standard hard tail guitar.. what is the best way... i would prefer to fully remove the trem from the guitar rather than just having it blocked or putting a tremsetter or similar device in.

it would be great to get some sort of plate that you can attach with mounting for a TOM bridge or string thru over the route on any floyd rose routed guitar.

There was an Ibanez Joe Satriani guitar which had a fixed bridge shaped like an Edge/Floyd, because he liked the tonal properties of the bridge but wanted a hardtail.

I don't know if it could be used to replace a trem bridge though, or even if it's still available.

i think floyd rose do make some bridges like that, but i dont know it it would fit onto my guitar, if its a straight replacement.. thats something to look into

Following on from the other thread, kahler do a fixed bridge which will fit onto their Floyd route cover-plate. (I'm just giving you the option, not saying it's what you should or shouldn't do)

Yeah, I just re-read the post.  I went outside and helped the wife with the shopping half way through reading it last time.  :?

If you don't mind refinishing it, then you could block off the hole with a suitable bit of wood, drill for TOM and then refinish.  A fair amount of work though.
