Very nice Ratty!

I've been getting into The Reverend Horton Heat on my ipod. Very good stuff.  :)  Do you like him?

Yeah , nice one Ratty. I'll check out the H/C review. It takes a few days usually I think.

Thanks for the cool replies guys. I still have to write the actual reviews. I'll post a link as soon as they're on the HC site.

I'm a bit reluctant about putting BKP's in such a cheap (medium quality) guitar. I do have some ideas for a great rockabilly pickup, it'll have to wait untill I can afford a serious hollow body.

Hey Johnny, I'm a big fan of the Rev. I have some of his stuff on CD and DVD. When my next paycheck comes in, I'll order his latest two discs.

If you're apprehensive about loading a BKP set you should let me rewind the stock p/ups, we do alot of rewind work and can seriously improve most things.

I'll keep that in mind, Tim. The guitar now has GFS Retrotrons in it. I'm gonna field test 'em for a while and see what can be improved. So far I'm happy with the twang and jangle in these pickups and they do some great overdriven hard rock too. They're ceramic but they are very nice clean. They could use a little more growl.

You could always transplant the BKPs to a guitar you feel is more "worthy" at a later date, but it looks really cool man.
