Ibanez zero whadaywa callit trems. Return or point or something

Really good!

I just did some work on an rg1570 and this thing as actually very simple and effective, in a sort of 'why didnt someone come up with it before' sort of a way but clever enough that you can see why it took so long.

Well thought out and effective design.

I dunno how you lot out there that actually use trems think about how it feels (I never use them - all mine are tremolno'd), but its quite an impressive piece of kit. Easy to setup too.

Cant speak as to durability, quality of knife edges and what have you - the guitar was very nearly new, and the trem basically unused.

Just thought I'd tell ya: there are people round here that are interested in such things.

That will be all.

I have a ZR trem on my S-series. It's held up great, although i don't use it all that much.
Also - knife-edges aren't a concern as it pivots on ball bearings.
LOVING the Mules!

The S series use ball bearings and the RGs use knife edges don't they?
I see a rainbow rising

I'll have a closer look at the edges/poles when I get home. I didnt notice any ball bearings, but I could easily have overlooked them and just assumed that it was a knife edge.

Good to hear, as my new precious J-custom just got shipped earlier today :) It has the Edge Zero and other niceties (no BKPs though - yet :D)

It's this one, in black: http://www.ibanez.co.jp/japan/archive/product_news/2008j_custom/RG8420ZD.html

Must be a different trem to mine. That's a shame because the ball bearings work really well

I think the RG1570 comes with and Edge Pro which has a knife edge and the Edge Zero and ZR trems have ball bearings.

One of the things that gets on my nerves about Ibanez is all the different names and model numbers things have just to mess with your head.
