Tele Bridges
« on: October 10, 2008, 05:17:06 PM »
I'm asking a lot of questions today so keeping it brief:-

Callaham Tele Bridge £93
Joe Barden from Allparts £41
Wilkinson £27

For my Allparts Tele....Any difference in the above?  Funds are an issue but not as much as TONE! :D

Any recommendations???

Glendale... He ships worldwide for free...
Guys that had Callaham told me Glendale sounded better and it's what they're going to use, only...

I like the look of the Glendales too, but you need to buy the saddles for them too, so it's possibly the most expensive option.  Maybe still around the same price as the Callaham.

The £27 Wilkinson will be one of their budget models and isn't really comparable with the other bridges mentioned.  You'd be better off looking at the Wilkinson by Gotoh bridge with adjustable saddles:

To me get at least the same, as he ship it for free, even internationally... the difference was about the same as I would pay for the shippiment for callaham

Glendale would be the one I'd go for, but the Gotoh/Wilkinson looks really good for the price.

I have Callaham and it was a noticeable improvement.  I have the Wilkinson bridges for the strat, and I personally prefer them to Callahams.  Never tried the Glendale.

never tried any of the above, but the Fender USA steel bridge I got (with brass saddles) for my Tele was a big improvement - gave the guitar an extra set of balls.

If it's tone you want:

As long as it's a three brass saddle bridge.

I've been through plenty of Tele bridges. The simple three brass saddle bridge on my Classic Vibe Tele is the best in terms of tone.

Just looked at there website, they certainly look nice.  But there's a lot of choice, I don't even know where to start with the saddles!

As Ratrod advised I'll go for brass whatever I get.....
