You definitely have my respect for putting yourself through a 10k run for completely altruistic motives!

Well, not entirely altruistic - it's supposed to be beneficial to my health.  Although it doesn't feel like it at the moment...

I also have some charity stuff planned for cancer research... all will be revelaed as i get closer to the event - - - lets just say i chose to do something i could do anyway.  I seriously doubt i would have the motivation  or energy for a 10k run

I usually do bike rides for charity - its easier on the knees at my age   :)  Well done though Phil - how long were you training?

A little under 3 months - could have done with a bit more really, but I'm going to keep it up and maybe have another go next year.

Funnily enough, I've had no trouble with my knees, although I'm plagued with shin splints and my lower back is a bit dodgy - they're manageable though, haven't got any worse after the first few weeks.

Nice one :D

Not sure I could manage it.

Actually, I could be a little more definitive: I'm sure I couldn't manage it

Where is that park? Mr Karen looked good, did you "kicked the ball to the goal"?? :D

You look nothing as I thought you would look... As you speak of yourself, I was thinking I would find a granny :D

That's Mrs Karen, Fernando, and she's married with two kids....

The park is in sunny Chelmsford, Essex.  Wayne did the sweating for all of us.
