More Riff Raff clips
« on: October 14, 2008, 08:51:43 AM »
Here's another clip kindly forwarded to me by Ron Ulu featuring the ever popular Riff Raff humbuckers.

Ron played a 1971 Gibson 335 with Riff Raff BKP's...Aero played a Fender Bass fitted with J+P BKP's...

This is great stuff, so fat and chewy but with some bite and grit where needed.

I agree with Gingataff.

The Riffs Raffs sound pretty biting, gritty and vintage in that ES-335. Not my taste, but it's a nice vintage sound.

Ron used an Xotic BB Plus pedal into a Fender Princeton Reverb II (Rivera designed early eighties) 1 x 12 Combo with a Rode NT1A microphone into Digi 002 Protools LE set up...Echoboy delays.

Gorgeous sound, can't fault the tone lots of dynamics with a great contrast between neck and bridge pickups
