Stormy Monday for Jazz..
« on: October 16, 2008, 11:26:19 AM »
Hi all,
I just installed my Stormy Monday in a Sadowsky Jim Hall model to replace the stock Dimarzio and it is insane!!!  I couldnt find any info on BKP's in Archtops so I figured I'd post the info.  I got the Stormy Monday Alnico II waxpotted....  Killler Tone!!  It really woke this well made guitar up!   And so far.... NO FEEDBACK,  just organic woody tone!!!

Aloha,  JD

Wow, very nice!!

That's the BKP tone: organic and very woody. I can imagine it sounds great in your Archtop!

Enjoy them.

Hello and welcome J.D.  :)

The 'Stormy Monday' is indeed a great pickup. I have used Alinico II and Alnico IV types - and both sound great, each in their own special way.

I must say that you have one absolutely STUNNING guitar there you lucky devil you !  It is nice to see Jazz being represented a bit more on the forum too. I think Elavd and I would ( almost ) sell a body part to have an archtop like  that !

Long may you continue to enjoy you newfound combination.  :D
