Riff Raff / MQ - Epic Rock Composition

Getting used to the fuzzyness of the MQ neck vs the Crunchiness of the RR bridge. This is a small composition using dual guitars for harmonic rhythm parts (28% L/R panned) and a mono through the middle deliberately slow lead part.

Amp models used on rhythm are an 80s modded marshall, a Rectifier and an XTC. Lead is "Brown" after Eddies Marshall.

Hey man, thanks for all the contribution to the BKP forum.  I'm a newbie to BKP's, and I have been tearing hair out trying to pick the right humbucker.  I'm putting BK's in my Les Paul.  I'm going for mule neck for sure, but torn between the RR and the BD for the bridge.  In this clip, which sounds so great by the way, what is being played in the intro?  what section(s) of this clip is the Riff Raff bridge?
I can guess and think I know, but would love the confirmation on it.  Thanks man, and keep on keepin on!

Yes, the intro riff was the RR in it's pure beauty. Meanwhile I have it a tad closer to the strings, and it's become a bit fatter and compressed-er. Very nice pickup on an SG indeed. I would even say: perfect match!

Yep, you need Riff Raffs close to the strings on an SG.  Mine are around or just under 2mm when fretted at the 22nd fret.  Pure Angus  :)

what about in a Les paul?  is it good in the LP too, or black dog better in the LP?

Sounds great in my LP bridge, real crunchy & bright tone. I have RR bridge, Mule neck. Good combination for
blues to hard rock.
I think BD is a bit darker/hotter, still PAF voiced, but I don't have one so might be talking bollox.
Listen to clips. also e-mail Tim & tell him what sounds you're after, he'll give good advice.
