fz-2 problems
« on: November 09, 2008, 02:31:20 AM »
so ive had an fz-2 for a while, and it's performance is starting to bother me. Sounds great, very electric wizard, but the decay is far too quick. To get any decent sustain, i have to crank the gain to max, but i like the textures when its just over half. When the gain isnt maxed, it sustains for a few (short) seconds, and then the volume drops and it only puts through a very quiet clean tone. I have to have my volume knobs on my guitar maxed, and i have to pick really hard to get any sound out of it. I really want long sustaining chords of eeeeeevil but this thing just wont sustain.

Is it supposed to do this?

and more importantly, how can i fix it?
my maxon OD 808 really DOES make poop sound good

doesn't sound right - I had one and you could run the gain on minimum and get plenty of gain and sustain.
