If you haven't already heard it, he does a brilliant version of Bohemian Rhapsody on classical guitar and there is a DVD to show you how it's done!!

Brilliant!  I also just watched his versions of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "Dream On" (what a great song that is, by the way!).

What's amazing is that it's not just "an arrangement", it's the whole song!  :)

Amazing. I preferred Dream On, that was awesome. Had me singing along and everything.

I watched a few. It's so far removed from the guitar playing I do, it's like I understand the individual bits of what he's doing, but I hit a mental wall when I have to think about the idea of doing all of them similtaneously! Fantastic player.

I disagree, this is the very definition of arrangement ...

I love how it's preserved, clams and all!

OK, so I'm not good on definitions...

I just meant that his arrangement has the whole piece rather than being one of those "Queen for Easy Guitar - full chords and lyrics" type things.

I get what you mean Philly. Just like when Mike Keneally did a whole album of solo piano arrangements of Vai songs:

Not sure about some of Vai's 'flowery' wording on the overview though.
I think I hate being indecisive.
