Anyone had any dealings with these guys:

I like the look of their replacement necks and bodies...

Prices are very reasonable (you can put a body and neck together for less than most people pay on a multi fx unit); they look nice.

Do it and report back! :)

They are not accepting orders for custom bodies necks according to the site.

I remember them from years ago if it is the same company, but havent heard anything of them for a LONG time

Yeah, I thought that they looked like a pretty reasonably Warmoth substitute for necks and bodies.

Ooooh, that feeling is coming over me again...

Yeah, I think they started out selling just unfinished necks and bodies, at pretty reasonable prices.  And they were definitely made in-house, not imported.  But I suppose ownership of the name may have changed over the years.

Personally I really like Warmoth and I'm not tempted to experiment with alternatives (even though they've become very expensive with current exchange rates :( ).   Their parts are made with amazing precision, they fit together perfectly, they have a huge choice and with the Showcase you get to see the actual item you're buying, plus it tells you the exact weight of the bodies.  There may be others just as good, but for me it's an "ain't broke, don't fix it" situation.

I did email them the other day and got a pretty helpful response, so I think that they're still alive and taking orders.

It's more fun though.  And you can get the exact parts you want to begin with, rather than having to replace anything.

Exactly.  What are you going to replace on a 400 quid strat?  Pickups, electronics, machine heads maybe...

All adds up.  If you can get a decent body and neck for £250, that's a pretty good start.

i so nearly brought this shoreline gold strat body

http://www.kavanaghcustoms.co.uk/shop/bodies/shorelinegold_strat.html

£100!!! sure i could make one but it would cost me more than that to get the gold finish... thats a very silly price

If i hadnt just been Xmas shopping yesterday and only ended up buying my self stuff (including a new leather jacket)  then it would have been mine

Its xmas soon, anyone want to treat me ;)
