The first Doppelganger gig pic!

It was the first gig for the mighty Doppelganger last night.  Six months of rehearsal, and a bass player change, and we were ready.  We rocked, they loved us, we're booked in for several dates at the same place in 2009  :)

A couple of pics for your amusement!

Martamp powered twin guitars were in full force: ( did someone say Phoenix Nights???  ;) )




As were BKP VHIIs in my Jackson Dinky:




My maple top McCarty photographs really well don't you think? (unlike me......)




A cracking night was had by all, can't wait for the next one!

Those pics look good Dave. Two Martamps eh! Some good guitar tone in your band then.  :D Did you record the gig on mini disc out the mixer?

No recording, sorry.  WIsh we had done though, it sounded great  :(

And yes, the guitar tones weren't too shabby  ;)

The curtain was awesome  :D

We were ready to gig a few months back, but losing the bass player didn't help  :(  Andy's been in for two months and did a cracking job getting up to speed so quick on the 25 or so tracks we played.

Plus practice makes perfect  ;)

Oh absolutely, it's just I've always done cover gigs to make a living, so it's been a priority to be up and running as quickly as possible. I've never rehearsed more than twice for a cover gig and I've done literally hundreds without a rehearsal at all.

Different folks approach these things in different ways I guess  :)
