If i hadn't already got an amp recently i would so buy that.

Just for the cool factor as well as the sound. Did you get the cabs aswell?

I'd be really tempted by this if I didn't already have a Blackstar HT Dual and DistX. As far as I'm aware the pre-amp stage is pretty much the same as the HT Dual? They are great pedals and altough it is true that they stamp their own tone down pretty hard, it's a good tone, so who cares :)

Congratz on the purchase! I'm waiting for the Series One  :)  8) :D

Why is it always 12"? 10" can sound absolutely amazing too... come on guitar land, evolution isn't that hard ;) we only ended up at 12" by accident anyway!

I have the funniest feeling this thing will sound its best with the Mini Stack option...

I am really tempted by this, I have just noticed it has a headphone socket so I could replace my POD for home practise.

Do you think it would be loud enough to compete with a headcase drummer and loud 2nd guitarist through my Orange 2x12. I am not arsed about a decent clean sound

Just bought the combo version today! It's only £30 more than the head and I could plug it into a cab anyway if I wanted to. The staff reduced the price for the VAT drop too which was nice. The only problem is.... that it's still at the shop. Got it from Mor Music in York when I was visiting my gf. I had a busy day today so I said I'll come pick it up another day, which is probably gonna be 2 weeks time!! This is torture!

It's a great little amp for practicing and recording. It sounded a lot less "little" than other similar amps imo. I thought the ISF thing wasn't as drastic as I'd imagined but still an interesting tone shaping tool. I did have the mids set high and it's supposed to work best with mids down so maybe that's why. Imo it did the British tones better than American tones. It being a wee little combo, it couldn't help sounding a little bit boxy with the gain piled up, but for all intents and purposes I thought it performed very well. It has loads of gain btw, not death metal gain, but about on par with my Laney VH100R. I can't wait to try boosting it and put it through my 4x12. I agree with twinfan about the volume though. Even with a very efficient cab, I highly doubt it will keep up in a loud band context. The volume up full (with the inbuilt speaker) was about the same volume as my VH100R on 1.5 I'd say.

Well took it to a mates and plugged it into his Mesa Single Rectifier Combo's speaker and all I can say is that I'm more than pleased with it. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Great at sensible levels, loads of tone available, nice clean through to rock through to metal. Sure it's cleans and classic rock tone aren't as articulate (or as damn unforgiving of my ineptitude) as the Minimat was and it's broootalz are never going to come close to a proper big high gain metal amp. But it does a pretty decent stab at both at sensible levels more so than any other low wattage amp of it's type I've ever heard. Oddly I really like the ISF over to the US with scooped middage for winding the gain up, somewhere in the middle for crunchage and over to UK for cleans. It does work that dial, but you've got to mess with the EQ along with it really.

Overall I'm well chuffed and it's an absolute bargain IMO.

I bought one today. Through my 1x12 G12k-100 I can get some amazing tones out of this thing, It loves drop C so it's a doom machine at the moment . I'm gonna try it with my 2x12 tomorrow and see what goodness that brings.
Boosting it with my Bad monkey make it sound even better.
