2005 Takamine AN-46: (solid spruce top, solid rosewood back/sides).



2006 Yamaha LL-400: (solid spruce top, solid mahogany back/sides).



1981 Tokai CE-1500: (solid spruce top, solid rosewood back/sides).



2008 Furch D-20 CM: (solid cedar top, solid mahogany back/sides).

I got it real cheap on ebay and it actually plays very nice.  Too bad it doesn't sound as nice.  Probably cr@p wood which is why they covered it with black paint.

Takamine EN40c .. Tossing up the idea of having an acoustic built by Rob Armstrong though before I go back to Australia.

Crafer D6 and some cheap ukelele bought on holiday in hawaii



Crafter sounds ok, its nice when you're playing it, but when you listen to someone else play, or record, and it sounds really thin and bright/twangy :( I want to get a different one, something that does a warmer, woodier sound

Busker MM Blues Resonator. Superb guitar, wide chunky neck, bell brass body, huge sound. I call mine Potemkin, because it is the colour and the weight of a battleship!


Simon and Patrick Dreadnought. Got used for a good price. Lovely tone, refitted with wider bone nut, and Fishman pickup.


Bouzouki. Had this for years, fitted with a magnetic pickup. Gets an airing now and then.


Mandola. Often gets taken on holiday, as a small instrument to keep my fingers exercised. Nice tone, tuned in a Celtic tuning.

Ibanez Exotic Woods Padauk model.

Great sounding guitar, although the neck has been giving me a few problems, seems like its bowing out a bit.

It's actually a quite pretty, deep red, but it doesn't show up well in this photo at all.
