sending pickups back for changes
« on: December 07, 2008, 08:15:59 AM »
Hi,

Just a quick question have any of you sent pickups back
1)  To have covers fitted to the pickups how much did it cost?

2) To have 2 conductor wire changed to 4 conductor?

I know I can email for this but at the moment thought I would see if you guys had any ball park prices from previously doing it.

Thanks very much

I think it's £10 for a standard cover, fitting is included?  Worth checking though.

Plus there's £4-5 return postage to add on top of all the changes.

Thank you Dave,

That sounds quite good and similar to what I was hoping.  I will leave it till closer to the time before I email Tim for exact prices.   Im thinking of a bit of a switch round of pickups and while there out I might as well get some covers that go well with each other and the respective guitars.

Last week I sent 2 humbuckers to Tim for work. I had 2 Aged gold covers fitted, both wax potted and 1 pick up was fitted with a new 4 conductor lead... £67.50. The work was done within 3 working days! Excellent job.
