Is this good enough

 Engl e530 preamp? I want to achieve that kinda dry-ish but high gain sound, similiar to death/thrash in 80's.

Friend is selling it, and he asked me first.

Im planning to go with this into Framus 2x12 cab I own.

Also, what power amp to use with it, I mean which one is good and has a decent price?

Btw I am using jcm 900 with 1960 cab in our rehearsal room, its rented, so would this be a good combo (530 plus jcm as a poweramp with 1960 cab), or no? I would be just using it for band practice 'till I get a poweramp.

definitely take it. i'm running one through the power state of my marshall 3203 artist into a marshall 1965a cab, and it sounds awesome. you've got a nice head, and a nice cab, so it'll definitely sound good. i would be curious to know the difference between using your head as a power and an actual power amp if you do end up going for one.
