IDEAS FOR ACOUSTIC COVERS
« on: December 08, 2008, 07:51:18 PM »
Time has come for me to get performing again.
I want to get used to playing live again quickly, so I have decided to do some acoustic covers with a female singer that I know.
Blues classic rock etc.
Anyone got any suggestions for covers?

Ain't Gonna Cry No More Today by Whitesnake is quite a good one, assuming the voice can carry it off (mine couldn't!)

Vixen, Lita Ford, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crowe, Meredith Brooks, The Corrs

Also a lot of ballad type stuff from Bon Jovi , Whitesnake, Def Leppard, etc if it can be arranged for her voice range

Accoustic?  More Than Words!  Classic!!!

Doesn't matter if it's a girl singer, particularly if she has long hair in the Gary/Nuno vein...

Tangerine is a great song to do with a female vocalist - she'll sound like Robert Plant anyway!
So many pickups, so little time

That's a good one.
She is a big Robert Plant fan.
I'll be doing some research and arrangements tomorrow.
This lot will keep me busy
